Hello, I'm Jolanta, I'm 39 years old.

It so happened that tentatively, after a year, I will have to go through a complex operation on two jaws and the entire treatment, lasting about 3-4 years. It will cost a total of about 30,000 euros, which is a huge and unbearable amount for me, a single mother with obligations. After rationally assessing all my financial possibilities, I realized that I will be able to save/borrow half of this amount from the bank. However, I will need all your help for the remaining amount. I am grateful to the founders of Veido Fondo for their help in raising funds.

I will sincerely understand those people who will be outraged that I dared to ask for support when it is not a matter of life and death. However, I also believe that there will be people who will understand the importance of the situation and support me by donating. I believe in the kindness of people and in my success to attract him smiley

I regularly donate to people and animals in difficult situations. I always help a stray animal found as much as I can. I am also a volunteer of the organization "Nobody's Children". I take care of lonely children in hospitals.

So about my path to surgery and other details:

I learned about my very deep, irregular bite and the problems that may arise from it in the future from dentists when I was still a teenager. But then I already had a lot of unpleasant worries and age-specific complexes about appearance, so one more unpleasant thing like braces (as it seemed to me at the time) I would not stretch. At the time, I did not feel much discomfort due to my bite anomaly, so I waved my hand and did nothing.

At the age of 25, I was left alone with a 2-year-old daughter and turned to another series of worries that again prevented me from properly taking care of myself.

Time passed, the situation became complicated due to the bite and at the age of 38 I realized that if I don't take care of myself now, I will never do it again and I will have very serious problems and pains in my old age, because today I already have the following:

the teeth are tiny due to wear (except for the front 4, which were replaced 20 years ago), and due to wear, grooves have appeared on the teeth of the lower jaw;
the bite is very deep. Doctors warn that the upper teeth can soon start to damage the lower gums, and the lower teeth - the upper gums;
difficulty chewing food;
difficulty breathing during sleep, resulting in frequent headaches, lack of energy, constant fatigue;
facial asymmetry;
very protruding front teeth, which makes it embarrassing to smile widely.
So, I decided to start treatment and went to an orthodontist. During the visit, I heard that my problems cannot be solved with braces alone and that surgery on both jaws is possible.

Then I was referred to a professional in this field, Dr. Simon Grybauskas. He confirmed the necessity of the operation, made a treatment plan and told about all possible complications.

As I raise and support my teenage daughter and her three pets alone, I hesitated for more than half a year whether I could afford: a) such a long treatment path, b) such risk due to possible complications and c) such "luxury" due to the price of treatment.

More about the treatment plan and price:

Orthodontic treatment (~2 years). I have already started the treatment. The price is ~3,000 euros. Fortunately, it is possible to pay in installments, which I have already started;
Double jaw surgery. The price is 13,000 euros. I hope to raise this amount with the help of the Face Fund;
Extension of orthodontic treatment after surgery (~ 6 months – 1 year);
Prosthetics. The price is ~12,000 euros. I have already started saving, but I will probably need a loan.
After considering the current already complicated situation and the consequences that will arise if I leave everything as it is, I decided to take the risk of complications and accept the challenge of 3-4 years of treatment. Due to the financial "luxury" of having such expenses, the strongly tightened family financial "belt", the Face Fund and faith in the kindness of people through sacrifices came to the rescue.

I would like to ask you to contribute and share my story with others. The more shares, the more chances. Thank you in advance for your understanding and goodwill.

There are two ways to contribute:

Targeted support to the patient by transfer to the fund account.
Allocating 1.2% of the income tax (after doing this, please contact me, I will explain what needs to be done so that the Veido Fund assigns this support to me).
