My name is Goda, I’m seventeen-year-old schoolgirl. I have had problems with my bite since I was a child, adenoids were operated on in the first grade to make it easier to breathe through my nose and a regular bite was formed. Consulting with an orthodontist, a surgeon for the face and jaw, due to excessive growth of the lower jaw, was unlikely to be able to slow it down a bit by rotating the micro implants and wearing the elastics, no matter how unfortunate it was. After visiting the orthodontist Dalia Latkauskienė, unfortunately, we heard a prediction that surgery on both jaws is needed, braces alone would not solve the problem. I also visited the facial and jaw surgeon Simonas Grybauskas, who also confirmed that surgery was needed in my case. Without surgery, the situation will only get worse in the future, due to the wrong bite, teeth will wear out, breathing through the nose, food that is badly chewed, etc. Because jaw discrepancies are large, this is the only way out for surgery. So my ten-year journey to the right bite ended in the only option left: surgery. I am not intimidated by the duration of the operation, the time to prepare (preparation will take about two years) or the postoperative period, the only thing that scares and doubts whether the goal will be achieved is the high cost of the operation. After learning about the organization Veido Fondas, I turned for help, I believe that with the help of the Veido Fondas and indifferent people, I will be able to solve my problem and have a correct bite, and straight teeth, so that I can finally smile broadly to the world!
Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the treatment :)
