I am Adam, a 15-year-old student. I started visiting an orthodontist when I was 6 years old. The bite was adjusted so that the upper teeth at least slightly covered the lower ones and prevented the lower jaw from progressing forward. When all the permanent teeth erupted, it became clear that my problem was much more complicated - the irregular development of the jaws. Due to the upper jaw being too narrow, the erupting permanent upper teeth could no longer fit and began to grow crookedly. The orthodontist explained that as my lower jaw will continue to grow, there will be serious bite problems, and the best possible help is orthognathic jaw surgery. I visited oral, facial and maxillofacial surgeon Simonas Grybauskas, who confirmed that in my case the problem can be solved by orthognathic surgery of both jaws. The discrepancies in the jaw are large and a good final result would not be achieved with the help of braces alone. The operation is complicated and very expensive, but I really want to have it. The surgery will be done when I turn 18, and starting this fall, I will begin the preparation phase: the two upper front teeth will be extracted and the crooked teeth will be pushed into their place with the help of braces. Wisdom teeth will be extracted. Braces will also be placed six months before the operation. I understand that it will be very expensive to solve my problem (planning and surgery alone will cost 13000 EUR). Doctor Simon told me about the possibility of saving money for surgery with the help of the face fund, which made me very happy. So I decided to ask for help and collect the amount of money needed for the operation. I believe that my dream of having a correct bite and straight teeth can come true.
