Hello, I'm Gražvilė, I'm currently 24 years old. Until a few years ago, I had no idea that what I have been living with all my life would have to be considered a problem, the solution of which requires not only a lot of money, but also a huge psychological commitment. As a child, like a large number of other children, dentists prescribed me to wear dental plates and never commented that my bite might need a little more serious treatment. Throughout my teenage years until the age of 19, I thought that there was nothing special in my situation and that I would improve the condition of my bite and teeth with the help of braces, but when I visited the orthodontist, I heard a comment that my bite situation would not be fixed with braces alone and that I should consult a surgeon about surgery. From that day on, I began to be intensely interested in what kind of operation the orthodontist mentioned to me, because I had never heard of anything like it before. After doing a lot of calculations, going to a few more consultations and talking to people who have already had such an operation, I even considered for a few years whether to commit to this trip, but I knew that it would require a lot of money, and that kind of money seemed out of reach when I knew that I would have to cover everything herself. In the end, this problem, which I know would cause even bigger problems in the future: chewing food damages the tissues around the tooth, inflammation can occur, as a result of which the bone starts to disappear and the teeth become mobile, grew into a great desire to solve it, so I decided to start the treatment process. We already had two consultations with the surgeon S. Grybauskas, he confirmed that in my case the skeletal occlusion anomaly can only be removed with the help of orthognathic jaw surgery. It is difficult, 5-6 hours. a long-lasting operation during which both jaws are divided into several parts, moved to the required positions and fixed with titanium plates and screws.

After talking with the surgeon, what scared me more was not the complexity of the operation or the complicated healing process, but the amount of money required for the entire treatment (not including orthodontic treatment-braces, which I already wear at the moment) - 13,000 euros. Saving that amount of money in the two years I have before surgery sounds like "mission impossible" to me, which is why I decided to ask the good people - Your help. I am extremely grateful and give a warm hug to everyone who contributed - you are helping me achieve my dream!
